Working at the interface between electrochemistry and materials science, Han Research Group at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute aims to understand the fundamentals of materials to identify and address key performance, cost, and manufacturing challenges of battery technologies for transportation electrification and grid storage.
We are always looking for highly motivated undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral researchers in mechanical engineering, materials science, chemical engineering, and electrochemistry to join our group. Please contact Dr. Han (hanf2@rpi.edu) for possible opportunities.

Congratulations to Ruihao on receiving the Electrochemical Society Norman Hackerman Young Author Award for his paper, "Understanding Calendar Aging of Thiophosphate-Based Solid-State Batteries, J. Electrochem. Soc., 172, 100519 (2025)” at the 250th ECS Meeting in Calgary, Canada, in October 2026.
